Emily (corspe bride)

Emily, also known as the Corpse Bride, is the titular deuteragonist of the 2005 film of the same name.

She is voiced by Helena Bonham Carter also voiced Fairy Godmother.

History[]

Sometime before the events of the film, she was killed by her lover (revealed to be Lord Barkis Bittern) and sometime later, a young man named Victor Van Dort was rehearsing his wedding vows and mistakenly puts his ring on Emily's finger (which he thought was a root) and ended up married to her. Later Emily says that they can't be truly married as Emily is dead and Victor is alive so Victor would have to drink a poison to die and officially be married to Emily. Before that could happen, Victor's fiancée Victoria Everglot arrives along with her groom Lord Barkis Bittern whom Emily recognizes as the one who killed her. Bittern then "toasts" to Emily and ends up drinking the poison, killing him and he is dragged away by the other dead people to be punished for what he did to Emily. Finally at peace, Emily departs from the world and disintegrates into a flock of butterflies.
