History[]

Before the MCU[]

Born on December 18, 1969, Bruce Banner earned a PhD in physics and worked as a professor at Culver University, Virginia, where he met General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, the father of his colleague and girlfriend Betty. A failed Gamma experiment at the laboratory caused him to transform into a freakish, muscular, green-colored creature motivated by anger and destruction known as "the Hulk", ending up in three people getting killed, as well as leaving Betty and her father critically injured. Bruce returned to visit Betty, under a coma, at a hospital, much to the fury of General Ross. Banner has been on the run from Ross' unit for several years.

The Incredible Hulk[]

Five years later after the lab incident, Bruce currently resides in Rio de Janeiro, where he works at bottling factory centered in the favela of Rocinha. Since said incident, he has been trying to find a cure for his mutation and many ways to control his rage, like practicing jiu-jitsu. One day at work, he accidentally cuts himself, which causes a drop of his Gamma-infected blood to fall on one of the bottles below. he faces a group of street thugs sexually harassing fellow female coworker Martina. Bruce tries to intervene by convincing Martina to go out with him for lunch, but the thugs' leader tries to pick up a fight that is immediately prevented by the Factory Manager.
