The Kaleds were a race of humanoid people who lived on the planet Skaro with another human-like species known as the Thals. They are the ancestors of the Daleks.
A mad and evil Kaled scientist known as Davros would be responsible for creating the Dalek race out of mutated Kaleds.
History[]
The Kaleds lived on Skaro thousands of years ago with a more civilized human like society than what their mutant descendants had. The Kaleds would often be at war with the Thals who also lived on Skaro.
The Kaleds looked identical to humans and Thals, except that unlike the Thals, they had dark hair rather than blonde hair. During the Thousand Year War, the Kaleds lived under a totalitarian government in which the military was very powerful.
As the war struggled on, the Kaled people suffered many defeats and young Kaled's would have to carry on the fight.
Mutation[]
During the war with the Thals many Kaled's were exposed to chemical weapons used during the war. They began to mutate into less humanoid forms, a Kaled scientist Davros who had recently been crippled by an accident decided to save his people. He created special life support systems which were extremely powerful and robust, fully equipped with weaponry.
After more tests on the Kaled mutants, Davros changed their DNA and removed weaker emotions giving them no pity for anything else other than themselves. The new mutants were changed to hate anything that wasn't like them. They became known as the Daleks.
The Daleks would soon turn on their creator Davros and exterminated most of the remaining non mutated Kaleds. They would continue the war with the Thals having the upper hand at almost every encounter.
