Tyrannosaur Buck is a male Tyrannosaurus rex that appears in the 1995 Michael Crichton novel The Lost World, a sequel to 1990's Jurassic Park, as well as its 1997 film adaptation The Lost World: Jurassic Park directed by Steven Spielberg, who also directed the 1993 adaptation of the novel's predecessor. He also appears as a cameo in Jurassic World Dominion.
History
Creation
The Buck Tyrannosaurus was born during the late 1980's-early 1990's inside the InGen Compound of Isla Sorna, an island 333 kilometers (207 miles) west of Costa Rica, along with six and later five members of his species. In 1997, after Hurricane Clarissa struck the island, he and a female of his species mated and produced a son.
