Tyrannosaur Doe is a female Tyrannosaurus rex that appears in the 1995 Michael Chrichton novel The Lost World, the successor to his 1990 novel Jurassic Park, as well as its 1997 feature film adaptation The Lost World: Jurassic Park directed by Steven Spielberg, who previously directed the highly-successful 1993 adaptation of the novel's predecessor. She also appears as a cameo in Jurassic World Dominion.
History[]
Creation[]
The Doe Tyrannosaurus was successfully cloned during the late 1980's-early 1990's inside the InGen Compound of Isla Sorna, an island 333 kilometers (207 miles) west of Costa Rica, along with six and later members of her species. She had encountered a male member of her species and they both mated, producing a male offspring in 1997, after Hurricane Clarissa struck the island.
