Tyrannosaurus rex is a theropod and an antagonist in the fifth episode of the fifth season of the British science fiction TV series, Primeval that ran from 2007 to 2011. The dinosaur also appeared in the spin-off book Primeval: Extinction Event and the comic strip Picture This! based on the series.

Before Primeval: Extinction Event[]
In the forests of Sirebia in the present, two Tyrannosaurus arrived through an Anomaly, and one of them is a female dubbed "Baba Yaga".
Primeval: Extinction Event[]
The female Tyrannosaurus dubbed "Baba Yaga" ambushes and silently kills a Russian military man named Dima who was smoking a cigarette. In June 2008, before killing a male Tyrannosaurus that killed Nikolai Medyevin, she kills eleven people and an infant Torosaurus, wreaking havoc. Baba Yaga attacks a Russian military camp and kills three Russian soldiers. She gives chase to Abby Maitland and Nick Cutter, but they tranquilize her only for her to wake up and recover within a matter of minutes.

- Concept art of the Tyrannosaurus from Season 5 of the series depicts the dinosaur bulkier and a head reminiscent in appearance to the design of the Tyrannosaurus from the Jurassic Park films, with more concept art showing T. rex with a throat wattle similar to the male T. rexes from The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III.
- The T. rex Baba Yaga in the cover of the book Primeval: Extinction Event is portrayed by the design of the female T. rex from the first Jurassic Park film from 1993.
- In the back cover for the Primeval Series 5 DVD, the CGI model for the Tyrannosaurus in the documentary miniseries Walking with Dinosaurs was used.
