Vengeance (known by fans of the Jaws franchise), is the main antagonist of the 1987 critically panned fourth installlment in the Jaws franchise, Jaws: The Revenge.

As Vengeance approaches the boat, he is impaled by its post. He begins bleeding out before sinking to the ocean. This ending was the original ending shown in American movie theaters when Jaws: The Revenge was released.
DVD version[]
Vengeance starts approximating the boat, and Ellen (remembering her late husband Chief Martin Brody's words when he killed Bruce in the first Jaws, manages to stab Vengeance in the belly, which causes his head to somehow pop like a balloon. Jake is revealed to have survived despite being devoured by Vengeance.

- He is the only shark in the franchise with no official nickname by the film crew.
- Just like the other sharks in the franchise, there are rumors that he is in fact a mutated great white and not an ordinary great white. That would explain his appearance, intelligence, size and crave to devour people.
